Our Client, RIMCO (Barbados) SRL, the Caterpillar dealer for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean
is seeking to recruit an Electrical Power Generation Sales Representative. This role would be
responsible for selling Electrical Power generators, engines and cogeneration systems.
The Role
The Electrical Power Generation Sales Representative will report to the Sales Manager and be
responsible for:
- Providing input along with the sales team into the planning/budgeting process for the
department. - Sales prospecting – visiting sites, identifying potential customers including cold calling,
development of leads through referrals, research and securing meetings to discuss
opportunities. - Identifying power demand needs to size solutionsfor domestic, commercial and industrial
projects i.e. for new and existing customers. - Performing basic equipment inspections and advising customers on parts and service
required. - Identifying and reporting on any opportunities for future sales within product scope as
well as other areas of the dealership. - Preparing quotations, sales contracts and following up on orders to close the deal.
- Advising customers on equipment management solutions in order to provide the best
solution at the best price. - Researching and reporting on prices on competitive parts, service and equipment
information. - Updating customers on the status of parts orders and service work.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess technical knowledge in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of three years’ work
experience in a similar sales position. Technical knowledge in power generating
equipment would be an asset. - Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and possess a willingness to learn the various
computerised tools that are required for the job such as AS400. Experience using
manufacturing related software would be a plus. - Be sales and goal oriented, focusing on achieving sales targets.
- Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade
and influence others. - Be required to travel for projects within the Caribbean.
