RIMCO LLC PARTS RETURN POLICY

Caterpillar Parts

We’re confident you’ll love your parts purchased from Rimco (Barbados) SRL (“Rimco
Barbados”). However, if for any reason you aren’t happy, we’ll work with you to ensure a
hassle-free return experience.

 

Initiating a Return

Returns must be initiated within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase indicated on the
receipt (the “Return Period”).

To initiate the return of a part purchased from Rimco Barbados, please send us an email at rimcobds@rimcocat.com with the following information:

    • Full Name
    • Date of Purchase
    • Reason for Return
    • Invoice Number
    • Mailing Address
    • Refund or Replacement

 

Eligibility for Return
1. To be eligible for a return, a part must be:

  • unused and in a saleable condition, including in its original packaging, and free from any physical damage or deterioration, including scratches, scuffs and rust; and accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase and by all other original purchase documentation and materials, such as included accessories, manuals and warranty information.

 

2. Custom or made-to-order parts are not eligible for return.

 

Caterpillar Inc. (“Caterpillar”) Parts

  1. All stock parts returned, within the Return Period will be credited at the original purchase price.
  2. All stock parts returned outside of the Return Period will be credited at the original purchase price less 10% restocking charge.
  3. All non-stock parts returned within the Return Period, will be credited at the original purchase price less 20% restocking charge.
  4. No credit will be given for any shipping, handling, or expediting charges, unless the
    return is due to a product defect or error on the part of Rimco Barbados.
  5. Parts returned due to Rimco Barbados’ error will receive full credit or replacement of the part, subject to availability of a replacement part, if returned within the Return Period.

Non-Caterpillar Parts

  1. All stock parts returned within the Return Period will be credited at the original purchase price.
  2. All non-stock parts returned within the Return Period will be issued credit ONLY if the return is authorized by the supplier of the part, less any freight and restocking charges.

Core Return Policy

  1. Core Return Window: Cores must be returned within sixty (60) days of purchase (“Core Return Window”) for full credit consideration by Caterpillar.
  2. Late Returns: Cores returned outside of the Core Return Window, but before fifteen (15) months from the date of purchase, will receive 50% of credit due].
  3. Core Inspection: All core credits are subject to final inspection by Caterpillar.
  4. Core Credit Determination: Core credit is determined by Caterpillar’s core inspection criteria

Reimbursement Method

  1. Purchases made by a credit Rimco Barbados account will be credited to the same
    account.
  2. For credit card purchases, Rimco Barbados will issue a refund to the purchaser’s bank account used to effect the purchase within [ ] 4 days after the refund is approved.
  3. For cash or cheque purchases, Rimco Barbados will issue a refund via [cash/cheque] or by wire transfer, if requested.

 

General

  1. Parts being returned are subject to inspection by Rimco Barbados. Rimco Barbados reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the requirements of this Policy or the laws of Barbados which apply to this Policy, including the Consumer Guarantees Act, Cap. 326E of the laws of Barbados.
  2. This Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of
    Barbados.
  3. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Parts Return Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barbados.
